JaVale McGee Records the Most Disrespectful Blocked Shot of the Season

Not much has gone right in Washington this year for the Wiz. They are 17 – 53 on the season, owners of the second worst record in the league and still have just one road win the entire year. Because of their performance this season, it has been questioned whether or not they are putting forth enough effort, and as a result, bringing back head coach Flip Saunders next year isn’t guaranteed.

One of the few bright spots for the club this years has been JaVale McGee. More specifically, it was the hoopla surrounding his participation and performance in the dunk contest. McGee is plenty athletic and many feel as if he actually deserved to win the dunk contest rather than Blake Griffin. For both sensational and questionable play this season, JaVale’s name has become well known around the league. What he does best is alter and block shots. He’s currently third in blocks with 2.4 per contest. But of all of his blocks this season, there have been none more impressive than this one. I almost feel as if the NBA should create another statistical category for this because I’m not quite sure what you call what he did to the Blazers’ Wes Matthews here:
