Recent rumors have hit news feeds that veteran point guard Jason Williams turned down an offer to play for the GRIZZ because he wants to play for a championship contender. Well JWill, why not come back to Miami? He has already won a ring in Miami and they desperately need a backup PG who can run an offense and play solid minutes off the bench. He wouldn’t have to play extensive minutes and he would provide the Heat with a reliable PG out there at all times when Chalmers needs a rest. If you give me the choice between Carlos Arroyo and Jason Williams, I am taking JWill no question. Sure, he may not be the flashy, skinny white boy dishing jaw dropping assists behind his back anymore. But, Williams can still knock down the open three when given and would be more than capable facilitating dimes to the likes of DWade, Lebron, CB1, and the rest of the Heatles. All Pat Riley needs to do is remember how much JWill helped the Heat win that title back in 2006. Get your wallet out Riles, dot the i’s and cross the t’s.
Make sure to peep the youtube video after the jump, courtesy of MengChiehWang (especially the oops to DWade).
I would be happy to welcome you back with open arms JWill. Give Miami another taste of that White Chocolate.
