The Lakers are going nowhere in a hurry, but that hasn’t stopped Kobe Bryant’s desire to to get out there each and every night. This is his 20th NBA season, so he can only do so much. Both he and coach Byron Scott have decided to rest Kobe for Monday’s game in Phoenix. Kobe’s general soreness is what is making this necessary, and he’s not shying away from talking about it.
At this point, just seeing him able to finish a season finally healthy would be good.
“I’m barely standing up,” Bryant said. “My back and my legs, man, it’s killing me. … I’m not looking forward to walking to the car right now,” he said. “Seriously.”
