The full court press to recruit LeBron James this summer has already began.
One Philadelphia company, Power Home Remodeling, has decided to create three billboards in Chester, Pennsylvania to entice LeBron to sign with the 76ers in free agency this summer….

I have got to give this company some credit, this is a genius marketing ploy for a number of reasons. First and foremost they will get plenty of free media coverage and PR for their business with these billboards and will probably see business pick up as local Philly sports fans are more likely to utilize them. Also, it gets the conversation going about LeBron to the 76ers and these billboards are pretty well done, the starting line-up with numbers was a nice touch.
There is some logic around the dream of LeBron in Philly, they are a young up and coming team who will be able to carve out max cap space and would instantly become favorites in the east with LeBron James. They also provide a better supporting cast for the future than the current Cavs. There are a couple issues though. First, LeBron and Ben Simmons do a lot of the same things, Simmons is far from becoming an average NBA shooter outside of the paint and can he really be as effective alongside LeBron? Problem number two, can LeBron really put his faith in Joel Embiid to stay healthy long enough to be the defensive anchor and second star that LeBron needs to compete for a title?
There really doesn’t seem to be a perfect fit for LeBron out there this summer, but there are many worse options than the 76ers though.
