Durability is one of the greatest and most desired traits of a professional athlete, most are unable to stay healthy and on the court or the field 100% of the time over the course of their careers with the wear and tear associated with playing their sport at the highest level against the best and most physical athletes in the world.
There are some guys known for their incredible durability such as Cal Ripken Jr. in baseball, Brett Favre in football and Karl Malone in the NBA.
One of the most durable players in the NBA over the past decade that many may not be aware of is Clippers center DeAndre Jordan.
While he has not appeared in every NBA game during his NBA career and has sat some out for rest, Monday night’s game against the Houston Rockets was the first game in Jordan’s 10 year NBA career that he has missed due to injury.

Jordan is dealing with a minor ankle injury and should be back in the next few games for the Clippers.
Pretty incredible amount of durability for Jordan, especially considering his status as a freakishly athletic center who has to mix it up on the glass and in the paint on a nightly basis.
Jordan has worked his way into being one of the five most valuable centers in the NBA with his rebounding, rim protection and rim-running ability after being a 2nd round pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.
