Larry Sanders hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2014-15 season, but it seems that might change soon.
The 28-year-old tweeted this on Thursday night:
Officially stepping back into the game, looking for a good fit but it shouldn't be long now,I really missed the game,I think it missed me 2 ?

That was followed by report from Keith Smith of 16 Wins a Ring stating Sanders has already worked out for the Boston Celtics:
Source: Larry Sanders worked out with the Celtics recently. No signing imminent. Both sides just checking in to see where things are at.

Smith later added that more workouts are on the way:
Source: Larry Sanders has lined up more workouts around the NBA. He is focused on certain teams only. Has to be the right fit for his return

It’s wholly unclear how much Sanders can help any team right now. He has played in just 50 games since the 2013-14 campaign and is entering an NBA that’s undergone a drastic transformation since he left—one dominated by bigs who protect the rim and space the floor.
Still, Sanders was a more-than-serviceable rim-runner and paint protector during his days with the Milwaukee Bucks. Plug him into a lineup with four above-average shooters, and he could become a huge tactical boom.
This, of course, is assuming he already has himself in game shape and can jump on the hardwood right away. Potential suitors might see him as a project—someone they sign now but don’t intend to deploy until next year.
We’ll have to wait and see.
