Last night quickly turned into a very frustrating night for the ever ornery DeMarcus Cousins as his Kings lost a hard fought game 108-96 in overtime in Miami.
Cousins entered the 4th quarter with the Kings facing a six point deficit and zero fouls. Let me repeat that, Cousins fouled out of a game in which he had zero fouls heading into the final quarter.
Cousins 6th and final one may have been the foul that cost the Kings an upset victory on the road. Cousins was called for using his off-arm on a drive to the rim past Hassan Whiteside that would have given the Kings a two-point lead with 30 seconds remaining.

He is the first player to be whistled for six fouls in a quarter since Andre Drummond in November of 2014.
Cousins had 30 points and seven rebounds on the night and his Kings are now 2-3 on the season.
This tweet from the NBA on ESPN Twitter feed basically sums up the situation perfectly…

Here’s to hoping Cousins can stay on the floor in the Kings next game in Orlando on Thursday.
