At this point, LeBron James really doesn’t have anything to prove. He has three titles, and most importantly, he has one in Cleveland. But don’t tell that to him. LeBron has been very vocal about chasing the “ghost” of Michael Jordan. He’s not bashful about wanting to unseat MJ as the greatest basketball player ever.
LeBron’s good friend Dwyane Wade was asked for his thoughts on LeBron’s continued motivation. Wade had to answer carefully. He’s LeBron’s good friend and he’s now a member of the Chicago Bulls. His answer sounds like a cross between a light-hearted jab at a friend and defending your childhood hero.
“No, it’s not possible,” Wade told ESPN with a laugh. “It’s not possible.”
The only thing you can do is tie it,” Wade said. “There’s no 19th hole.”
