The Atlanta Hawks backcourt has become pretty crowded of late. They have two PGs who are both more than capable of starting in the NBA. Jeff Teague generally starts, while Dennis Schroeder usually finishes. The latter has made it clear that he’d like to start for a team, whether it’s the Hawks or not. It looks like he’ll be getting his wish in Atlanta.
The Hawks have reportedly traded Teague, who is the older of the two, to Indiana, paving the way for Schroeder to assume starting PG duties next season.
Here are the details of the trade per Yahoo! :
The Atlanta Hawks are sending guard Jeff Teague to the Indiana Pacers as part of a three-way deal with the Utah Jazz, league sources told The Vertical.
Indiana will send guard George Hill to the Jazz, who are moving the No. 12 overall pick in Thursday’s NBA draft to Atlanta, league sources told The Vertical.
For salary-cap purposes, the deal won’t be official until July.
