This could have been a Kobe Bryant versus LeBron James show, which would certainly have garnered a lot more interest and ratings, but it wasn’t.
On Sunday night, this spectacular highlight from Kyrie Irving pretty much summed up how the Lakers and the Cavaliers are doing this season. The Lakers (13-38) are one of the worst teams in the league right now and the Cavaliers (32-21) are beginning to get their groove on and work their way up the standings in the East.
With less than a minute remaining in the first period, Irving put on a show with a spin move on Jeremy Lin, and then drove down the lane to hit Timofey Mozgov with a pass for an easy slam.
And as expected, the Lakers lost and the Cavs won with the score of 120-105.
