Pacers Sign Head Coach Frank Vogel to a Multi-Year Extension

FrankVogelIndiana Pacers’ head coach Frank Vogel has signed a multi-year extension to remain with the team, according to league sources.

Vogel has led the Pacers to two consecutive appearances in the conference finals and has eventually developed a good relationship with the city. After falling short once again versus the Miami Heat in the conference finals—the 41-year-old head coach will look to end the curse and redeem himself this upcoming season.

But surely, it’ll be a difficult task ahead with their superstar Paul George recovering from a massive leg injury and there’s a possibility he may not be able to return this season. And also, the departure of Lance Stephenson was another blow to the team.

It’s likely that Vogel will have to rely on Roy Hibbert and David West to lead the team throughout the season, while remaining hopeful for George’s return.

Last season, Vogel managed to lead the Pacers to first place finish in the Eastern Conference and has accumulated a 147-82 record (.641) in his full three seasons with the team.
