Gregg Popovich and the San Antonio Spurs earlier this season were fined and then subsequently sued for sitting their starters against the Miami Heat. David Stern felt that it was a disservice to fans who had paid for tickets to see the Spurs ‘Big Three’. Yet, here we are, in early April and the Miami Heat’s top players are once again sitting out a third straight game, without any legitimate injuries to speak of. Any fines in the works from the NBA? Doubt it…
For 3rd straight game, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Mario Chalmers expected to sit Friday vs. Charlotte. Ray Allen also expected to sit.

Any chance if the Miami Heat’s historic win streak was still alive, the starters would be sitting out this ‘meaningless’ game against the Bobcats?
