After three award-winning seasons in a row and an extended summer of pickup basketball that deserved an award of its own, Nike finally began to push Kevin Durant’s Zoom KD line the way they push other Swoosh-sponsored athlete’s kicks like LeBron James or Kobe Bryant. Being three wins away from Larry O’Brien trophy would have me thinking renegotiate on some of my contracts too.
The word on these is that Zoom Air, a staple in the last four Kevin Durant sneakers, is rumored to be replaced by a full-length MAX Air unit. Would retail on this go past that $100+ mark the limit that Durant himself said he never wanted to break?
I wish that these won’t end up being the next Zoom KD sneaker because I remember reading somewhere that Durant always wanted his sneaker to have a strap but he possibly thought that since he’s about to win a ring that NBA Champions switch it up.
Feeling himself too early? We’ll see soon enough.
