It’s not easy being a red-headed basketball player. If you were a youngster thinking you were against all odds to make the NBA as it is, try having red-hair. I can count on one hand how many NBA players over the past decade have been red-heads.
Personally, I thought being a red-headed fan would be easier. And luckily for Spurs and Bulls fans there are actually two red-heads (Matt Bonner – Spurs, Brian Scalabrine – Bulls) playing active roles for their respective teams. But apparently it’s not so easy supporting your fellow carrot tops. A young Texan this week is facing the threat of a school suspension if he doesn’t shave his head after get his hairdresser to hook him up with a sweet Matt Bonner Spurs tribute in the back.
