Originally known at the adidas KB8, the Crazy 8 is most known as being first signature shoe ever for Kobe Bryant. The entire upper of this sneaker is constructed from different composite leathers with the adidas Stripes branding is scene on all three pairs in the same black textured leather that is on the wave-like pattern seen on the midsole.
Earlier in the year adidas did a secret drop of the Kobe Bryant PE that he wore during the All-Star Game in 1998, the same year that he won the Slam Dunk Contest. Bryant never had the chance to win back-to-back titles because the next year there was a, wait for it, NBA league lockout.
