It’s no secret that the Drew League and Goodman League both wanted to win Capital Punishment. From the opening tip, you could see the intensity on the faces of the players as everyone was taking it very seriously. There was a lot at stake. But unfortunately, one team had to be disappointed. It’s only fitting that the game came down to the final possession and was ultimately decided by one point – in the favor of Goodman League.
The following day, the two leagues got into a discussion about the game on Twitter. Here’s the back-and-forth that began when someone apparently called out the Drew League for what he thought was complaining about the loss (“Inside_da_Gates” is Goodman’s Twitter handle):

There was some heated talk initially but it’s clear that both leagues respect one another. There are already talks of a rematch which I’m sure will go down.
