Chris Bosh Fights Crime as “Tall Justice”

November 5, 2010 – Allen Moll

If his NBA career doesn’t pan out(fat chance of that), new Miami Heat superstar Chris Bosh might want to try his hand at acting since as part of a venture with comedic website Funny or Die.com, he recently starred in a drama/comedy short as a crime-stopping meter maid who saves Los Angeles from some very bad dudes.

Bosh’s acting actually was quite good as the 6‘10 All Star was paired with another pint sized detective who try to thwart some guys who are into loan-sharking, drugs, etc. The video brings back memories of Arnold Swarzenegger and Danny DeVito in the movie Twins because of the actors’ big disparity in height.  Throughout the entire movie, Bosh has a moral dilemma.  He  is torn between his passion for monitoring parking meters and protecting the people from evil-doers.

While the video short is thoroughly entertaining, it’s not without it’s cheesy moments and classic one liners, most of which are saved for the protagonist – Chris Bosh as Justice. With statements like “A man can only take so much”, “It’s a handicapped zone, if you park here, you’re as bad as the bad guys”, and “It’s time to call the tow truck, he’s messed with the wrong meter maid” Bosh could get nominations for an Academy Award, or at least an Oscar.
