Metta World Peace Already Eliminated From ‘Dancing With the Stars’

What a complete 180 Ron Artest has done in terms of public perception. About seven years ago, Ron shook up the world when he ran into the stands in Auburn Hills, Michigan to confront a fan who he thought threw something at him. And even prior to that, he was already regarded as a dirty player who routinely committed unnecessarily hard fouls. He was truly the “bad boy” of the NBA. But it’s amazing how time heels everything.

Somehow, Ron (he’s officially Metta World Peace now, but I can’t bring myself to calling him that yet) has become a likeable fun-loving figure, which is completely different from just a handful of years ago. As you know, he was  contestant on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ which really came as a complete shock to me. I can’t recall anyone repairing their image as well as Ron has. Couple his appearance on that show with his name change and his appeal has reached new heights.

Ron made his debut on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ on Monday and if you blinked, you missed him. He was eliminated the very next day as the first one voted off. I’m going to assume that you didn’t tune in to see Ron dance. Neither did I. And I’m very sorry to do this to you but you have to check out his performance. It is must see…internet. As crazy as he is, it’s hard not to like Ron. And pay attention as he flirts with the host at the very end.
