Derrick Williams becomes the second rookie entering the NBA this year with an Under Armour endorsement; the first one announced was Kemba Walker. Throughout his collegiate career, Williams favored the Zoom Kobe line specifically the Zoom Kobe V as he wore them into the Elite 8 last year with the Arizona Wildcats. Matt Mirchin, Senior Vice President of Sports Marketing for Under Armour had this to say:
Derrick had a terrific college career and emerged as an absolute force on the sport’s biggest stage…we love Derrick’s passion and hunger to play better every time he steps on the court. He’s a great representation for the Under Armour brand and a terrific example to all young basketball players who are dedicated to becoming game-changers
