Dwyane Wade Welcomes Evan Turner to the Playoffs

The Philadelphia 76ers have had somewhat of a surprise season this year. New coach, Doug Collins has come in and injected new-life into the proud organization. Along with Collins, another key addition to the team this year was #2 overall pick, rookie Evan Turner. The rookie didn’t perform quite as well and many projected him to this year as he averaged just 8.5ppg, 3rpg and 1apg. I thought the fact that he was omitted from the Rookie Challenge squad was a microcosm of his inaugural campaign in the NBA, although I’m sure he’ll settle-in in years to come.

Last night, Dwyane Wade made that a little worse. In Game 2 of their 1st round series, Wade toyed with Turner on the baseline before pulling up for a J. Turner even dropped his shoulders and head after the shot goes through the net in an apparent sign of disappointment, not long after announcer Reggie Miller utters “Oh My Goodness” in response to Wade’s move. Wade missed practice between Games 1 and 2 due to a migraine, but he probably gave Turner a headache here:
