With Kobe Bryant into his final year not only as the Los Angeles Lakers captain but in the NBA as a whole, Nike very fittingly made the Black Mamba his best signature sneaker yet in the new Kobe XI.
The first pair to release is called the ‘Achilles Heel’ Kobe XI and comes constructed with a Flyknit upper out the gate (instead of waiting for the Elite version like with the previous two Nike Kobe silhouettes. This colorway has a red-to-black gradient effect and improves on the nice traction pattern introduced last year. A HUGE Zoom Air bag in the heel ensures a comfy ride whether hooping on the court or ballin’ casually.
The ‘Achilles Heel’ Nike Kobe XI releases on Saturday, January 9th for $200.
