It was a battle between two of the worst teams in the league, as the Kobe-less Lakers visited Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks for a Sunday night showdown in Madison Square Garden. And unsurprisingly, this match didn’t garner that much thrill and interest from most fans, especially, since almost everybody wasfocused on Phoenix and the Superbowl game that same day.
Despite this, Anthony put on quite a show when he delivered a thunderous alley-oop dunk and finished with a game-high of 31 points (18 in the 3rd) to lead the Knicks to a 94-80 victory over the purple and gold and also, give them just their tenth win of the season.
