Look: Awesome New Rockets Billboards Featuring Angry Harden and Howard

It’s no secret that the most highly sought after free agent this Summer was none other than 7 time NBA All Star Dwight Howard.

After a lengthy wooing process that featured fans in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Houston all voicing their wishes to secure the services of the dominating big man for their hometown team, Howard eventually chose the Houston Rockets as his immediate future team.

In the process, it gives the Rockets a powerful core featuring Howard, last season’s breakout star James Harden, fan favorite Jeremy Lin, and one of the most underrated good players in the league in forward Chandler Parsons.

Just two seasons ago and prior to the signing of Harden and Lin, fans across the league were wondering which direction management was heading as the roster was littered with journeyman role players and unproven rookies like Terrence Jones, Jordan Hill, and Chase Budinger.

But now the Rockets not only have star power, but have one of the deepest and talented rosters in the Western Conference, one that coach Kevin McHale surely hopes challenges for one of the Top 4 spots out West come Playoff time.

Howard and Harden are now arguably the top players in the league at their positions and the Rockets public relations staff is obviously focusing on that fact when witnessing their new billboards put up around Houston to drum up excitement and support for their new home town team.

I’d have to imagine that non basketball fans may be a little distracted and possibly even frightened upon their first time seeing an angry James Harden or Dwight Howard on their trek to work………
