That kid’s house was huge; his bedroom might be the size of my current living room. It isn’t reality to think that everyone who has a bunch of sneakers is living like this. Understand that the kid chosen to be filmed just made for a better story and represents a fraction of this new sneaker culture population.
One of them even got an unnamed pair of kicks stolen straight off of his table that he valued at $400 and didn’t blink too much at taking the L.
It was cool that they touched on the RSVP struggle. Even with six said browsers open at different stores, the kid couldn’t get a pair of the white & black Jordan XI Lows from last weekend. These days if you don’t have bots than you don’t have much; a problem that needs to be addressed. I got ideas, holla at me.
I wish someone would dub over it with someone else’s voice and have that version be the one most heard because Darren Rovell sounds like he just discovered a new animal species the whole time. It was weird to hear one of the kids selling points about his favorite sneaker (blue suede Ewing 33 His) was that it wasn’t even that expensive.
They put DJ Clark Kent on it, which was cool because he was on his Furious Styles preacher-ish a little bit but hopefully it was picked up on, and one day there is some type of great revolt to lower the average sneaker price because it isn’t the greatest anymore.
