On the 18th anniversary of the famous Pacers-Knicks battle where Reggie Miller scored 8 points in 9 seconds to defeat the Knicks and gave the choke sign to Knicks Superfan Spike Lee, Miller was feeling playful on twitter yesterday afternoon:
Since its the anniversary of the 8pts, maybe I walk by Spike tonight and give him the choke sign for old times sake…jk jk, I’m an ANGEL..

Fast forward 18 years, and the Pacers are once again playing the Knicks in the second round of the playoffs. This time Pacers legend Reggie Miller is calling the game as a sportscaster. Spike Lee is still at MSG in the front row, going nuts for his Knicks. Spike also realized the significance of the date and match-up, and decided to poke a little fun of his own at Reggie Miller’s expense. Check out this classic photobomb for the ages. Spike styles.
We don’t know yet who will get the last laugh with this latest Pacers-Knicks rivalry, but what we know today is the Knicks had their way with the Pacers in the fourth quarter, and tied the series at 1 game a piece. My guess is Spike Lee went to bed smiling. Reggie? Not so much.
