Over the last few years beards became cool again in the NBA. The surge in popularity of the NBA beard started with Baron Davis, but hit its peak with James Harden when he was a member of the Thunder. However, a case could be made that Dirk Nowitzki single-handedly ruined the NBA beard this season due to a team playoff pact.
All that to say, that while the NBA beard may be on the way out, Miami Heat’s Shane Battier is trying to make the NBA mustache popular. And not just any type of mustache. Specifically, the Battier 70’s Porn Stache. Handlebars and all.
