The western conference showdown that has felt destined for much of the NBA season has finally arrived, the Warriors vs the Rockets for the chance to go to the NBA Finals.
Both juggernauts punched their tickets to the western conference finals on Tuesday night closing out the Jazz and Pelicans in five games respectively.
The Rockets and GM Daryl Morey have made no secret about their obsession to remove the Warriors from the western conference and NBA throne, Morey even tweeted this on Tuesday night after the games…

Of course the Warriors don’t hold the Rockets in the same regard and haven’t lost any sleep over them according to their talking head Draymond Green as he told reporters in the post-game press conference on Tuesday night:
Draymond Green gets excited when @ChrisBHaynes asks if Warriors wanted the Rockets: "Man, we won 2 championships in 3 years we're not going to run off saying how bad we want to play somebody! We want another championship… It don't matter to us who we play." pic.twitter.com/QCeOmkItqv

While I am sure the Warriors are nowhere near as concerned with the Rockets as the Rockets are with them, you know they have had their eye on them all season as their biggest competition and were a little salty as the kids say at one point when they realized the Rockets would have home court over them.
Both teams will have plenty of rest and practice time before they square off as Game 1 of the western conference finals isn’t until next Monday.
Basketball fans should be chomping at the bit to see these two prize fighters slug it out on the big stage.
