Have you ever played NBA 2K on a level that you shouldn’t really be playing on to be competitive just to see what crazy numbers you could put up?
That is essentially what James Harden did against the Orlando Magic last night.
He became the 1st player in NBA history to score 60 points and have a triple-double.
You know that Harden is tired of being No. 2 in MVP voting at the end of the season and wants to take home the hardware and to do so you typically need to lead one of the top three to five teams in the league (check), put up incredible numbers (check) and have a few memorable performances that define an NBA season, go ahead and throw in a check for Harden there as well.
Harden had 60 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists on 19-for-30 shooting from the field and 17-for-18 from the free throw line.
Harden is currently leading the league in scoring with 31.6 points per game to go along with 9.1 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game.
It feels like the MVP award could be Harden’s to lose at this point with the Cavaliers struggles essentially eliminating LeBron and Kevin Durant as a (somehow) under the radar candidate in Golden State.
