It appears the New Orleans Pelicans have been hit with the injury bug once again.
This time with the Grindfather and the gritty, tough defensive extraordinaire Tony Allen.
Allen will miss the next three to four weeks with a fibula fracture.

Allen joins Solomon Hill, Alexis Ajinca and Anthony Davis (for the moment) on the shelf for the Pelicans.
While he hasn’t played a major role for the Pelicans this season, averaging 4.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in 12.7 minutes for the Pelicans this season, but his toughness, leadership and grittiness will be missed on the court over the next month for New Orleans.
While Allen is 35 now and isn’t the player he was, the Pelicans are still 5.6 points better per 100 possessions defensively when he is on the court.
Expect E’Twaun Moore and Jrue Holiday to eat up all of Allen’s 13 minutes over the next month, which helps the Pelicans quite a bit offensively, but may harm them on the defense end.
