De’Angelo Russell to Miss Multiple Games With Knee Injury

The Brooklyn Nets finally look to be trending upward after dealing with the repercussions of one of the worst trades in NBA history over the past few seasons.

One of the biggest reasons is the fact that they were able to utilize their cap space to take on the contract of Timofey Mozgov (taking advantage of the Lakers horrible personnel decisions) in order to acquire a talented young point guard of the future in D’Angelo Russell.

Russell is averaging 20.7 points, 5.7 assists and 4.7 rebounds in 12 games per season for the Nets.

They will be without him for the next few games though because of a knee contusion.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Russell suffered the injury in the Nets 114-106 loss in Utah on Saturday night.

The Nets are already without point guard Jeremy Lin for the season and will be very thin at the position while Russell is out. There next game is against the NBA leading 12-2 Celtics on Tuesday night.
