There have been some memorable inbound passes and flubs over the history of basketball, the classic “Havlicek steals the ball!” of the 1960s, Larry Bird picking off Isaiah Thomas’s pass to literally and figuratively steal a victory over the Pistons in Game 5 of the 1987 eastern conference finals, and Grant Hill’s three-quarter court lob to Christian Laettner, who nailed a turn around to advance Duke to the Final Four over Kentucky in 1992, which actually happened 25 years ago as of Tuesday.
The Detroit Pistons D-League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Drive, may have just had the most bizarre inbound pass victory sequence we have ever seen to beat the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

Ramon Harris was Johnny-on-the-spot as he glided in to retrieve Ray McCallum’s slightly errant pass and made the jumper to seal the 99-97 victory.
This is a pretty crazy and highly entertaining play, but I feel as though the Fort Wayne Mad Ants should win every game based on their incredible team nickname alone, I will now search for some Mad Ants merchandise.
