Some pretty explosive reports are coming out of the bay area Monday morning. According to the man, the myth, the legend, White Mamba AKA Brian Scalabrine, now working for the Boston Celtics, resident Splash Brother Klay Thompson could be on the market.

Scalabrine told Sirius XM Radio Monday morning that he is hearing Thompson is available and there is a rumor going around with a team who is known for wearing green, he’s referring to the Celtics of course.

Whether there is even a shred of validity to this rumor of trade discussions going on between the Warriors and Celtics (I say no) the timing with Thompson’s struggles and clearly being the player most affected by Durant’s arrival, coupled with the Celtics collections of draft picks and depth could at least lead to this rumor to being somewhat believable.
Could the Celtics be willing to deal Avery Bradley, Amir Johnson and their coveted unprotected 2017 first round draft pick? The Warriors would have to seriously consider an offer of that magnitude at the very least.
According to the ESPN NBA Trade Machine, a Bradley and Johnson swap including a pick, would work with the Celtics cap space:
As earth shattering as it would be to breakup the Splash Brothers, this trade would make the Warriors better. It would better prepare them for the future while also allowing the Celtics to acquire a big-time star and their go-to player for the foreseeable future.
