Warriors Looked Terrifying in Preseason Home Opener

The rest of the NBA has been on-guard and crying itself to sleep every night since Kevin Durant decided to join the 73 win Warriors team and create possibly the most ridiculous “super team” the NBA has ever seen.

This team features the past two regular season MVP award winners in Kevin Durant and Steph Curry and two of the other top 10-12 players in the league in Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. They will be under the intense glare of the public microscope all season and face immense pressure to win an NBA title in year one, or be seen as a failure.

They had their first home game with Kevin Durant at the Oracle Arena Tuesday night against their cross state and much hated rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers and it was ugly…

Albeit a meaningless game, the Warriors absolutely embarrassed the Clip Show, running them off the court to the tune of 120-75.

They were leading the Clippers by an eye-popping 51 points through three quarters, scoring twice as many points with a 102-51 lead.

Durant, Curry and Thompson combined for 65 points on over 60 percent shooting and looked like they had been playing together for years.

As one would imagine, Clippers Head Coach Doc Rivers was none too happy with the results.

Obviously a preseason game means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things, but it was somewhat of a statement and a sample of what you can expect from the even more terrifying Warriors squad in the 2016-17 season. I doubt the Clippers will forget about it.
