Ben Simmons has undergone successful surgery to repair an acute Jones fracture in his right foot. No timetable has been given for his return to the court.
Simmons suffered the injury when he landed on another player’s foot during a September 30th scrimmage.
The 76ers’ said that his recovery timetable would be “provided as available and when appropriate.”

Sixers reporter Bob Cooney reported that a source told him that Simmons’ agent, Rich Paul, wants to hold out Simmons for the entire 2016-17 season.
“There’s an agent that wants his client healthy for the rest of his career, so maybe he gets guided one way into they want him out for the season,” Cooney said Tuesday on the 94WIP Mike & Ike Show. “Or, you get a medical staff that might say after 12 weeks, you know what this healed a lot better than we though, you look like you’re good to go. And then you move forward.
Ben Simmons was drafted first overall after the 76ers organization had spent the last four seasons bottoming out in an effort to accumulate the best draft talent available.
