It took all of a few hours for DeMarcus Cousins to respond to the Sacramento Kings’ decision to suspend him for one game.
We think.
We can’t really be too sure if this was a response or not, since he didn’t officially clarify. But, yeah…this was most definitely a response.
Here’s what the 25-year-old big man posted on Instagram, courtesy of KHTK Sports 1140’s Carmichael Dave:

There’s no real wiggle room for interpretation here. Cousins is pissed at the Kings, and now the world knows it.
By now, it’s abundantly clear Cousins needs a fresh start somewhere else. The relationship between he and the Kings just isn’t working. He’s too frustrated with losing, and the Kings shouldn’t have to keep disciplining him for inappropriate behavior—most notably public tirades against head coach George Karl.
That much is on Cousins, to be sure. He isn’t absolved of all blame in this marriage. The Kings have perhaps failed him on more levels than he’s failed them, but just as it takes two to tango, it takes two sides to reach a point of no return.
The Kings and Cousins are there, at that point of no return. Expect trade rumors to heat up this offseason, just like they always do, only more so.
