When training camp opened, Kings rookie Willie Cauley-Stein was reportedly out of shape and getting very winded after just a few trips up and down the court. But it seems as if he has gotten that figured out and has shown enough in the preseason to where he’s a favorite of George Karl.
The rookie may be in the starting lineup during the regular season at the four, right next to DeMarcus Cousins.
“I thought he was pretty good,” Karl said. “I would say right now, Willie’s probably going to start. I’m not sure of that yet, but I think that’s probably where I’m heading.”
