Derrick Rose’s broken orbital bone may keep him out for a while. He may be cleared to play by opening night, but that doesn’t mean he will. He hasn’t had a full contract practice since the injury and that’s primarily because of double vision when he has both eyes open. That can’t be good.
Rose said "who knows" when asked if he'll be ready for Opening Night.

Rose: "I can’t open my other eye. That’s when I get double vision. But with one eye open, I think I could play pretty good."
