As the second half of the season officially began on Thursday night, the Los Angeles Clippers pulled out a thrilling 119-115 victory over the reigning NBA champion—San Antonio Spurs.
At certain parts of the game, the Spurs decided to do the Hack-a-D.J. strategy that forced the Clippers center to miss a total of 18 shots from the charity stripe, however, despite going through this free throw nightmare (10-of-28), DeAndre still came out huge on both ends of the floor for the Clippers. Jordan finished with a team-high of 26 points and a game-high of 18 rebounds to fend off the defending champs.
And to put the cherry on top — DeAndre delivered the highlight of the night when he obliterated Spurs’ Marco Belinelli from existence with a vicious one-handed slam that sent the Staples Center crowd into an uproar. TRAI-LER!!
Rest in peace, Marco.
