In 2017, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook becomes a free agent, which means that there may be a possibility that he decides to take his talents someplace else and there may be a slight chance that he considers joining the Lakers.
Westbrook is well-known to be an LA Native and many purple and gold fans would definitely welcome him to the team. And as of late, renowned rapper and actor—Snoop Dogg—has started the recruiting process early through a recent instagram post that featured Westbrook in a Lakers jersey.
This first shot at recruitment from Snoop may (or not at all) put LA in consideration for Westbrook once his contract ends—and if it does, he certainly deserves some credit for making it happen.
But as of now, don’t count on Westbrook considering or even thinking about joining LA, especially, when you look at their outlook and bleak future.
