adidas merges the classic shelltoe design with their top-of-the-line foam technology in the new Futurestar Boost.
With the 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend being in New York City, the lights will be brighter than ever; which is the perfect time to debut a new kicks. The adidas Futurestar Boost combines styling found in iconic Stripes sneakers from years past with the current Boost foam cushioning. This All-Star colorway hooks up perfectly to both the Rising Stars Challenge and All-Star Game uniforms and adds a big of modern style with the snakeskin texture seen all along the upper.
The press release mentions the design cues taken from the adidas Pro Model, which is true, but the silhouette shape looks so much like the Superstar 2G from about ten years ago. Classic shape, modern take; I like it.
No exact release date for the ‘All-Star’ adidas Futurestar Boost, but these release in February sometime around All-Star Weekend for $125.
