It’s very rare to see this from the Spurs, who are the defending champions.
With exactly 8 seconds remaining in the game, the Spurs were leading by one and had ball possession. All they had to do was inbound the ball and make their free throws to seal the victory.
However, things went terribly wrong as Tim Duncan’s inbound pass was fumbled and eventually found itself in the hands of Brandon Jennings who seized the opportunity by driving down the lane and banking in a runner to steal a 105-104 win on the road against the Spurs.
That game-winning shot from Jennings allowed Detroit to extend their winning streak to six, making them undefeated since Josh Smith’s departure.
