We are barely a week and a half into the 2015 calendar year and we have already seen a number of amazing feats on the hardwood.
In the pros, Golden State’s Klay Thompson just went off for 40 points, Pau Gasol dropped 46 points and 18 boards on the Bucks, and the Philadelphia 76ers are…….gulp, in the midst of a winning streak.
There are still 3 remaining undefeated squads (Kentucky, Duke, and Virginia) on the college hardwood, as Duke’s stellar star freshman big Jahlil Okafor continues to be the frontrunner for the #1 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
But perhaps the most amazing individual show of athleticism has come from the high school ranks, as a Seattle, Washington senior swingwan Hafid Yassin, finished off arguably the most impressive inbounds alley-oop that I’ve ever seen on any level.
Yassin, who plays for Seattle’s Chief Sealth HS, looks to be on springs as he elevates to the point of getting his chin nearly a foot above the rim to finish off an improbable game ending inbounds oop that has gone viral, getting nearly 500,000 YouTube hits over the past weekend alone.
The 6’6 guard definitely has made a name for himself, as the dunk has begun to change his life, garnering attention from several DI schools…
