At 5-16, the Lakers are towards the bottom of the pack and look like they will be there for the entire season. But Magic Johnson would prefer if they were the worst team in the league. Magic wants the Lakers to lose every game for the rest of the season in order to get a high draft pick. I’m sure both Kobe and Adam Silver love hearing that.
“I hope the Lakers lose every game, because if you’re going to lose, lose. I’m serious.
“If you’re going to lose, you have to lose, because you can’t be in the middle of the pack. You either have to be great or you have to be bad, to get a good [draft] pick.”
