Things haven’t been going well at all for the purple and gold this season, as they continue to struggle against almost every opponent. However, things may start to look a little brighter, as their sixth man guard—Nick Young may return from his thumb injury next week, according to Mike Bresnahan of the LA Times.
The Los Angeles Lakers are currently standing on 1-7 record and are dead last in the western conference. Almost every night, it has been the Kobe Bryant show offensively and clearly the 36-year-old can’t carry the team on his shoulders anymore. He needs all the help he can get out of his teammates.
Ryan Kelly is a no-go tonight. But Nick Young might play on the three-game road trip next week that starts Tuesday in Atlanta.

Young, 29, can surely give the Mamba some much-needed help offensively. He’s arguably the next best offensive weapon on the Lakers, proving himself last season by leading the Lakers in scoring with 17.9 points and at least 2 three-pointers per game.
With Young’s return, the Lakers offense can now revolve on another player besides Bryant, and hopefully the team can start winning more than just one game.
