Brazilian guard Leandro Barbosa has reached a one-year-deal with the Golden State Warriors, according to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein.
The Warriors will be the fifth team that he has played with in his entire career. Last season, he averaged 7.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists for the Phoenix Suns. However, due to unfortunate injuries—he was only able to play for 20 games.

Clearly, the former sixth man of the year is not who he used to be anymore, but still remains as a popular and reliable scorer for any team. His speed and ability to cut down the lane with ease serves a lot of trouble for opponents. In addition, he’s a 39 percent three-point-shooter and a 46 percent shooter from the field, which proves why he’s certainly a great acquisition.
Barbosa, will be expected to come off the bench next season, and would fittingly be the back-up guard for Stephen Curry. Even at his age now (31), he still has the ability to be one of the most efficient contributors in the league, which will consistently provide the team that needed boost of the bench.
Throughout his entire career, he has averaged 11.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
