Ever since the NBA adopted their sleeved jersey looked, many guys have been critical. LeBron has been atop that list. It isn’t a good idea to have your biggest star speaking out in opposition of a league-wide mandate that potentially impacts his performance.
According to Bleacher Report, Adam Silver plans to meet with LeBron to discuss the sleeved look, and maybe do away with it. I agree that the sleeves are unnecessary, but it’s interesting that some guys volunatily wore sleeves under their jerseys in college. But that’s neither here nor there.
Commissioner Adam Silver told Bleacher Report he intends to revisit the issue after the season. He plans to meet with LeBron James, one of the loudest critics of the jerseys. The NBA could decide to curtail the use of the sleeved jerseys, leave it up to individual teams or simply kill the program for good.
