Andrew Bynum May Make Pacers Debut Friday in Philly

andrew-bynum-january-2014Philadelphia is none too fond of Kobe Bryant for whatever reason, even as Kobe’s hometown. But Kobe may be unseated as the visiting villain. Surely Philly has more harsh feelings towards Andrew Bynum. Right? After sitting out all of last season due to injury, many fans feel as if the big guy didn’t try hard enough to see the court.

Now in Indiana, and still hurt, Bynum may make his Pacers debut this Friday…in Philly. That should go over well.

On Sunday, Bynum said that he hopes to be “cleared to play next week,” believing that he could be on the floor by Friday, March 14 when the Pacers play in Philadelphia. Pacers coach Frank Vogel said the team planned to re-evaluate Bynum after the road trip.

“We’ll see after (Sunday’s) game goes and then we’ll probably meet about it (Monday),” Vogel said, “and try to come up with a firmer plan.”
