AND1 is one of those sneaker companies that I am going to relate to the way the sneaker OGs are into brands like Diadora & Pony. That being said, it makes me happy to be able to honestly type about a new pair of the AND1 Tai Chi celebrating the 20th anniversary of the company.
2013 was the 20th anniversary of the AND1 and to celebrate that, 1993 pairs of the AND1 Tai Chi Mid were re-released in an OG black-and-white colorway. The sneaker stitch-for-stitch seems to be the identical to the original pair debuted in two decades ago.
The AND1 Tai Chi Mid is enjoying an exposure they never would have in 2014 thanks largely to the high level of play from the upcoming Most Improved Player of the Year, Lance Stephenson of the Indiana Pacers. This Tai Chi isn’t a Player Exclusive pair with Born Ready’s face on it, but the simple black-and-white colorway will definitely work.
Also included with the Tai Chi is a pair of the AND 1 ToChillin’ which is their take not he minimal, casual sneaker. Both sneakers come with the pack purchase.
