Caron Butler was traded from the Clippers earlier this summer to the Phoenix Suns and he’s on the move again. He was just traded to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Once a valuable starter, Butler has quickly become a dreaded NBA journeyman. However, with the Bucks roster in flux, he may serve a focal point on that team. Also, he’s from Racine, WI, so this will be a homecoming of sorts.
The Milwaukee Bucks added needed veteran help Wednesday, agreeing to send point guard Ish Smith and center Viacheslav Kravtsov to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for small forward Caron Butler.
A person with knowledge of the situation confirmed the deal to USA TODAY Sports. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the trade has not yet been announced.
