When Danny Granger was hurt to begin the season, we knew that this was Paul George’s chance to shine. He has shown flashes of potential in the past, but he was always in Granger’s shadow. However, this year he showed us all what he’s made of as he has proven to be a go to man for Indiana.
Paul George has won the NBA’s Most Improved Player and it is definitely deserved.
If Granger is a Pacer next year, it will be interesting to see how he and George co-exist.
The Indiana Pacers have called for a Monday morning news conference in which they are expected to announce that Paul George has won the NBA’s Most Improved Player award, according to multiple reports.
The 22-year-old George stepped up to fill the role of the injured Danny Granger, who missed the majority of the season with a lingering knee injury. In his third season out of Fresno State, George averaged 17.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 37.6 minutes per game.
